DENR, ipinasara ang 17 inland resources at destinations sa Cotabato
IPINASARA ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ang labing pitong inland resorts at tourist destinations sa General Santos City.
Ito’y matapos lumabag ang naturang mga tourist destination sa ilang environmental management laws.
Kasama sa isinara ay ang Barikot Peak, Sanchez Peak, Malyango Peak, Hidden Garden, Ulo tulan at Buko-buko Peak na nag-o-offer ng camping at trail hiking activities.
Ayon kay Maria Elvira Lumayag, Community Environment and Natural Resources Officer ng General Santos City, ang naturang mga tourist destination ay nag-ooperate sa loob ng timber at forest lands na labag sa Presidential Decree No. 705 o ang Forestry Code of the Philippines.
Samantala, ilang inland resort at destinations rin sa polomolok ay pinasara rin dahil sa kaparehong dahilan.
Nangako naman ang management ng mga ipinasarang destinasyon na iku-comply ang mga requirements ng DENR.
